Metformin for Insulin Resistance in achieving weight loss: How long does it take to work?

I have been diagnosed with insulin resistance and have been prescribed 2500 mg metformin daily.

Many ppl with PCOS, metabolic syndrome, or insulin resistance lose weight bc their insulin isnt working properly without the aid of metformin or the like. I have been on it for over a week and have not lost any weight.

I was wondering if anyone has experienced weight loss after a couple weeks, rather than immediately.

How to lose weight when you have reactive hypoglycemia?

In June of this year I was diagnosed as having reactive hypoglycemia which is borderline diabetic. I need to know how I can lose weight because I am at my heaviest weight. I have been taking walks daily for 30 minutes for the pass few years. I have stopped taking walks as often since my younger brother passed in May of this.

Does anyone know any good weight loss programs that are good for diabetics?

A friend of mine is interested in starting a weight-loss program, but is type 2 diabeties. She cannot handle any sugars whatsoever, and has to limit herself to VERY few carbs. With this being said, does any know, preferebly from experience, any good weightloss programs for diabetics? Something where the food can be ordered, such as NutriSystem, where you don’t have to go to the place to participate. Thanks in advanced~~! Links would be much appreciated,
